Dr. Maryam Motlagh has devoted her career to advancing patient health by addressing the critical connections between oral health, occlusion, TMJ disorders, upper airway health, and overall body function. A graduate with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, Dr. Motlagh pursued extensive postdoctoral training in occlusion, sleep dentistry, and complex restorative dentistry from prestigious institutions such as the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Spear Institute, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Epigenetic Orthodontic Program under Dr. Dave Singh, DMD, PhD, and the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO), where she earned mastership status.

As the inventor of Myoaligner®, an FDA-cleared device for the treatment of TMJ disorders and migraines, Dr. Motlagh has been published in the Journal of Advanced Dental Technologies and Techniques. Her mission is to make TMJ and functional orthodontic treatments more accessible by empowering general dentists with cutting-edge knowledge and innovations through the Myoaligner® Academy.

Dr. Motlagh actively engages with her peers through presentations at study clubs and dental seminars, all while maintaining a thriving dental practice in Portland, Oregon. She continues to learn, collaborate, and inspire within the dental community, constantly pushing the boundaries of dental care.
